Every year Punjab School Education Board Punjab conducts Punjab State Teacher eligibility Test (PSTET). This year also The PSEB, Mohali published the official notification for PSTET 2015. PSTET 2016 will be conducted on 21st August, 2016.

The exam will be completely objective type with three different patterns of Questions.
1. STRUCTURE AND CONTENT OF PSTET
All questions in PSTET will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct. Each carrying one mark and there will be no negative marking.There will be two papers of PSTET.
(i) Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.
(ii) Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.
1.1 Paper I (for Classes I to V) Primary Stage :
Duration of examination-One-and-a-half hours: Structure and Content (All Compulsory):(i) Child Development and Pedagogy 30 MCQs 30 Marks
(ii) Language I (compulsory) 30 MCQs 30 Marks
(iii) Language II (compulsory) 30 MCQs 30 Marks
(iv) Mathematics 30 MCQs 30 Marks
(iv) Environmental Studies 30 MCQs 30 Marks
TOTAL 150 MCQs 150 Marks
1.2 Paper II (for Classes VI to VIII) Elementary Stage:
Duration of examination – One and-a-half hours;Structure and Content (All Compulsory):(i) Child Development & Pedagogy(compulsory) 30 MCQs 30 Marks
(ii) Language I (compulsory) 30 MCQs 30 Marks
(iii) Language II (compulsory) 30 MCQs 30 Marks
(iv) Mathematics and Science 60 MCQs 60 Marks
(iv) Social Studies/Social Science 60 MCQs 60 Marks
TOTAL 150 MCQs 150 Marks
